Class Descriptions

Arthritis class - A recreational exercise program that is designed to accommodate those who are impacted by arthritis or arthritis-like symptoms. This class encourages self-care, provides social interaction, improves muscle strength, endurance and flexibility. Also helps to mange pain and relive symptoms.

BODYCOMBAT™ BODYCOMBAT™ - BODYCOMBAT™ is a high-energy martial arts-inspired workout. You'll learn how to punch, kick and strike your way to superior fitness and strength.

BODYFLOW® BODYFLOW® - BODYFLOW® is a new yoga class for anyone and everyone. It uses a range of movements and motion set to music that will improve your mind, your body and your life leaving you feeling calm and centred.

BODYPUMP™ BODYPUMP™ - BODYPUMP™ is the original barbell workout for absolutely everyone. Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition (reps) BODYPUMP™ gives you a total body workout that burns calories, strengthens and tones.

Barre - Shape and tone your body like a dancer to achieve long, lean muscles. Increase joint flexibility, tone and shape, and improve coordination and agility.

Chair Functional Fitness - Functional fitness class for those who need the assistance of a chair. This class will utilize weights, bands and other modalities to improve strength, balance, and flexibility. Geared towards those with limited mobility due to age, injury or other circumstance.

Chair Yoga - Moves your whole body through a complete series of seated or standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of seated or standing postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement.

Chance To Dance - Workout to great throwback tunes with a dance/fitness class that involves cardio, strength and conditioning and stretching.

Core and More - Build core muscle strength and posture using a variety of exercises designed to strengthen your abdomen and back muscles all while increasing your flexibility.

Cross Train - Push yourself with intervals of cardio with body-weight exercises and weight plates. Class includes tabata and drills.

Cross Train 30 - In a rush? Try our 30-minute cardio workout to make the most of your time. Quick, intense cardio with modifications and active recovery. Feel the RUSH! Come to class warmed up and ready to work.

Cycle - Riding drills to focus on endurance, strength, and recovery.

Cycle 45 - Riding drills to focus on endurance, strength, and recovery. May call one hour prior to class to reserve bike except for early AM classes.

Deep water exercise - A high intensity cardio and strength building class with no impact or strain on your muscles. Participants are encouraged to use flotation devices (provided) and be comfortable in deep water that is over one's head.

Gentle Yoga - Gentle yoga postures and meditative, restful music to create a calm, refreshed feeling.

Go Lo - Low impact class to strengthen your heart and lungs. Improves bone density with weight bearing moves.

H2O Pump - This class uses the resistance of water to strengthen your muscles, improve core stability, and increase your cardiovascular health. This class combines resistance training and cardio for a well-rounded low impact work out.

Pilates - Exercise is done on the floor using a yoga mat and employs controlled breathing during body weight resisted movement to build core strength.

Pound - This high-intensity interval workout incorporates rhythmic movements to get the class literally pounding the floor with "rip sticks". The music and high-energy drumming make the time fly past. Class participants will be squatting, jumping, lunging, and using Pilates—and don’t underestimate the arm strength needed for the drumming itself. POUND class is a full-body workout.

Power Sculpt - Tone and tighten, look leaner and more defined! Use strength training to help reach your goals.

Step & Strength - A combination of cardiovascular exercise with strength exercise bundled into one class. Uses the step and step aerobic moves to achieve the cardiovascular workout and a variety of weights and body weight exercises to strengthen your muscles.

Warm water Aerobics - Exercise in warm water has unique benefits. This class will evenly distributed muscles resistance, improved blood flow and muscle recovery, provide a safer exercise, cause fewer daily aches and pains, and lead to better sleep.

Weekend Warrior - A challenging interval workout, with circuits to build strength and cardio endurance.

Yoga - Yoga postures and meditation combined to create a mind-body experience with a focus on connecting your breathing to the flow of the movements.

Zumba - An aerobic fitness program featuring movements inspired by various styles of Latin American dance and performed primarily to Latin American dance music.
